the addiction but why the pain"

Shayla Quinn
The Yoga Inspired life by Shayla Quinn is hands down my favorite podcast! (for years) She shares all things yogic philosophy, health and wellness, but with a western twist - making it easy for me to digest!

Jay Shetty
A great speaker and author, specifically I've found helpful with relationships. I recommend checking out his "Quizzes" tab. This can help illuminate how stress effects relationships, and why we are the way we are.
MY MUSTS
Here are the products that have helped support my practice and help me heal my nervous system faster! These affiliate links also help support me in investing in education to become a yoga therapist!

Bolster Restorative Support
Bolsters are designed to help makes poses more accessible, helping with tight hips, back pain, etc. But - not all bolsters are made the same, this is one of my favorites!

Blocks and Strap
These props help make poses more accessible, while keeping alignment - aka avoiding injury. They help remind us to use the poses to get into the body, not the body to get into the poses. They help with balancing, tight hips and hamstrings, neck release, etc.

Travel Mat
Hitting the road? Want a durable, thin mat to take with you? I'm obsessed with mine!

Cacao
My favorite coffee replacement, helping balance blood pressure and hormones. I used this to help bring reduce and balance my cortisol spikes, I'm hooked!

Meditation & Yoga Blanket
A woven blanket or wrap helps establish safety in the body, a sense of groundedness and can support mind body connection.

8 hr Stress Relief Supplement
After trying a range of pills, powders, drink mixes - you name it, this instant and 8 hour slow release support supplement became my favorite. It's also vegan!

The Body Keeps the Score
Arguably the most popular read in the stress education space, for good reason! Vanderbolk shares his first hand experience as a leading trauma specialist.

Eye Decompression Pillow
Especially when learning to down regulate, or relax the nervous system, I've found eye pillows to be the most relaxing tool. Whether I've been looking at screens, am tired, or and am doing breathwork.

Eat, Pray, FML
My all time favorite book. A true story about a woman who travels the world, dives deep into her inner work - all with a deep, yet light hearted perspective.

Acupressure Release
One of my favorite tools for muscle tension relief, especially in between the shoulder blades, hips, hamstrings, and feet! Walking on an island mostly barefoot, these are one of my daily musts.

Oracle Cards
The author and her style I find to be the most relatable, inspiring yet realistic. Perfect for intention setting before practice, or to use when journaling! I always have mine on my altar.

Stress Relief Essential Oil Pack
Helping strengthen mind-body connection by helping the body relax through the senses, which then can help signal to the brain to relax or stimulate gentle renewal of energy, depending on the oil!
